The ÅSGARD FUZZ has been discontinued and replaced with the upgraded PI FUZZ DELUXE

Utilizing cascaded transistor gain stages the PI π FUZZ can go from gut brutal distortion to monolithic fuzz.

Taking influence from the different versions of the PI π FUZZ, designed with my knowledge of years of analyzing and tweaking the circuits and wrapping up all my favorite mods into one beautiful beast:

• Discrete transistor boost in front (with boost amount and toggle for thick/tight response)
•Mid (crucial to not have that "disappearing in the mix" when the fuzz is kicked on)
• Bass (actually more of a depth control. Sets how much low end comes in to the second gain stage. Less for a tighter sound, more for a bigger / fuzzier sound)
• Clipping toggle (stock, diode or MOSFET clipping)

•internal switches:
- ☭ / △
this switches between Russian style clipping (which lets more low end through) or the more saturated standard triangle clipping
-impedance transformer:
Switch this on when using active pickups.

• Three internal trim pots:
-OUTPUT
(Sets the output boost gain. Lower and it's back to the standard PI output.
Crank it for a boost but be aware that the EQ will be less effective like when cranking the master on an amp)
-SHIFT
(changes what the frequency is within the tone stack. You'll want to adjust this when turning off the boost)
-THRESHOLD
(This one needs its own paragraph to explain haha.
It's a gain/bias for the third stage that works as a very crude noise reduction.
When at full amount the pedal is stock, as it's turned down some of the noise from the previous stages is reduced.
All the way up with the boost on, the pedal is admittedly quite noisy but trim this down a bit and find a ratio of gain/noise that can get surprisingly smooth for how much gain there is)

UPDATE The new MKII version includes the new clickless true bypass (or "soft touch") switch which uses a momentary switch to trigger a relay as opposed to the standard mechanical method.

The PI π FUZZ MKII uses a hybrid of SMD resistors/diodes/semiconductors/ICs but with the important parts (audio film caps, rarer discrete transistors and some ICs) still being through hole.

The audio/DC jacks and foot switches will still be handwired, only now they can be done much faster.
This means shorter wait times and the ability to build batch "drops"!

Controls are:
•V=Volume
•🔱=gain
•(inverted 🔱)=Boost volume/gain
•T=tone
•M=mids
•B=Bass (this controls how much bass goes into the circuit so it also gets fuzzier as bass increases or becomes tighter and more of a distortion as the control is turned down)

•second foot switch is for a the boost.

•Switches for diode or MOSFET clipping and the tight/full range of the boost.

PLEASE ALLOW 1-2 WEEKS BUILD TIME

The PI π FUZZ DELUXE includes a completely transparent impedance correction transformer because all Blackhawk fuzz pedals can be placed anywhere in your guitar chain. You never have to worry about buffers or active pickups getting in the way of your tone.

All BLACKHAWK circuits designed around baritone tunings and humbuckers.
This has the added benefit that they are equally suited for anywhere from standard tuning to drop tuned bass.
Single coil users will find that they get a thickness from BLACKHAWK designs they have yet to find elsewhere.

All BLACKHAWK pedals and preamps are true bypass and standard “one spot style” 9v, Negative tip, 2.1mm barrel.
