MORGUL DRIVE V2
Want to push your amp EXACTLY how you want it.
•Low gain boost and "tone sweetener"
•Drive that can add tightness to your tone without chopping off all of the low end.
•Absolutely filthy, textured distortion getting into fuzz territory.
Sounds like a lot but ALL of those things are what the Morgul Drive is designed to.
Turn up the depth to increase tightness (which also increases gain) or down to keep the low end.
Having that tightness be user controlled in the form of a "depth" knob is as crucial the simple low pass filter to smooth highs.
The controls are subtle but stay perfectly in the sweet spots so finding the tone you want isn't a hassle.
The gain is from a single stage opamp
The switch is for clipping:
•LED soft clipping //
•No clipping //
•MOSFET hard clipping)
In the middle position it’s purely volume, driving an amp with no-clipping “clean boosting” (in the sense that a lot of guitar players call what’s actually edge of breakup “clean”)
TONE TIP:
The more I turn up the depth, the more I turn down the gain and visa versa.
Depth all the way down and MOSFET clipping will be thick and saturated like a RAT (but less loose and fuzzy)
Depth all the way up, gain all the way down and LED clipping it’s even more tight, focused and punchy than a tube screamer.
This pedal I would start at noon with everything and go from there adjusting knobs and flipping the toggle.
